But if you’re too lazy to search for one, just browse till the end of this page for my FREE tips to start writing killer ads. Follow these easy steps and you will start writing killer sales letters in no time. There’re few points that you need to look into:
1) Learn From The Gurus - Spend few hours a day copying by hand some of the greatest sales letters online. Study those ads until they become a part of you. Write the entire letter out in your own hand writing. Write it out 10 - 20 times over the next several weeks. Once you have written this over and over again, you will begin to memorize the way the writer worded different things. Once done it is time to go onto the next ‘killer’ letter and do the same thing over again.
2) Create Your Personal Notebook - Collect all of the good sales letters you find and create a notebook out of them. Then, when you are writing a sales letter, you can vet through your notebook to generate ideas for your project. Another source is to take a look at “spam” or “junk email”. Some spammers are very good marketers too. Never use ideas word for word from your collected file. This would be plagiarism. Use to generate general ideas only.
3) Know Your Customers well - The major key to writing million dollar sales letters is to know your customers like you do your own best friend. It is so important! You need to know what their needs, desires and fears are. Try take polls of the customers in order to know this. The result will helps you to write a more personalize letter to them individually, which in return giving you higher return.
Always remember one thing, No-One Wants Your Product. It’s True. What you are selling to them is not your product but is the vehicle to help them to achieve what they really want.
4) The Headline - The most important thing you will write is the headline. If your headline doesn’t immediately grab the reader’s attention, the rest of your copywriting time is completely wasted. The average reader will spend only few seconds deciding whether or not to carry on reading just by reading the headline.
5) Editing - Don’t try to get it perfect the first time you start writing. Start with a short list of points and then just start writing only enough to cover all the points you need, then stop. Then it’s time to start editing, polishing and refining, until you are fully satisfied. When you are editing, bear these points in mind:
Most users scan the page instead of reading word-for-word. So use bullet points, and highlight key words.
Reading from computer screens is slower than from paper
Web content should only have 50% lesser then the word count of its paper equivalent
Improving Readability Lists: You can include a greater number of lists on a web page than on a printed paper page. Use numbered lists when the order of entries is important. Use unnumbered lists whenever the sequence of the entries is not important. Limit the number of items in a single list to no more than seven. Generally, limit lists to no more than two levels: primary and secondary.
Hyperlinks: Don’t use a hypertext link if the information can be presented on the current page. Don’t mention that you are providing links at all. Use a description of the information to be found in the link, or perhaps the link address. Use hyperlinks to provide supplemental information like definitions of terms and abbreviations, reference information, and background reading
6) Test Your Copy - Test For Understanding - Share your ads with other people that you know. Check whether what you meant to say is the same that other people read into it. Test your ads to see whether it works? Does it achieve the results you want (sales? sign-ups?? whatever you need?). You need to keep improving it through test.
7) Take Your Time! - Learn how to relax. Don’t rush as it will be obvious to the readers. Take your time and do an extremely good job. Remember a fresh mind is more likely to produce fresh copy. And fresh copy sells!
Good luck guys…
