Can Ads help or hinder your blog site by Leah Gray
Let me introduce to you my friend, Leah Gray who writes her ideas at A Technophobes Guide to Blogging!. Her writing has triggers my interest to welcome her as my guest blogger. Here’s something which I found interesting to be shared with you guys.
Can Ads help or hinder your blog site?.. It depends on the purpose of your blog as to whether Ads can help or hinder it.
For example, all the blogs I have with Ads (as not all do have them) are niche blogs rather than random thoughts about everything and anything.
So the ads and book store are very content specific and totally in accordance with the blog. So as the reader came to my site searching for a particular type of information, it may be the case that if not found on my site it can be found via one of those ads.
Take for example my dream site.
It has ads that relate to dream dictionary sites.
My X-Posed blog has ads which relate to relationship dilemma’s.
This site has Ads that advise on SEO, writers jobs etc.
But my random thoughts sites which are more personal to me carry no ads as they’d be very random and of little help to the reader. I also don’t promote those blogs they are just ‘found’.
There is no need to recruit readers if you only write for pleasure. Writing to inform and share information is slightly different, as it requires (if serious) more effort to get the information out there.
