Speed Up Bookmarking Process : Best Techniques & Tools
By now I believe you should already aware, the benefits of bookmarking your pages on social bookmarking sites. In general it will helps your page:
- indexed (search engine) faster
- gets massive popularity
- generates huge traffics
- rank higher in search engine result (depending on keywords popularity & size of competing pages)
Basically there are only handful numbers of social bookmarking sites which are mainly used. But in reality there are hundreds more which might not be that much popular but having quite a good PageRank.
Listing your pages in as many bookmarking sites as possible is a good strategy in your ranking building process. With a proper technique, this will be a good source for quality backlink. But bookmarking process especially to plenty of sites is quite a tedious job. Having a tool that could simplified the process is something that we would dream of using.
Dream No More! Here are few tools which I have tested and consider as the best so far online. But before you start, I would advise you to apply this techniques:
- Register yourself to all the bookmarking sites that you intend to submit your page to. Use a same username & password for each bookmarking sites. This will helps to speed up the login process latter.
- Enable you browser cookies when running this tools and choose to keep yourself logged in during the login process.
- The best practice is to identify few pages that you need to bookmark and start bookmarking it all at the same time. Plan your time wisely by arranging 1 or 2 time slot in a week just to focus on bookmarking process.
OK now here goes, 5 best bookmarking tools:

On top of this there are also some other website plug-in which serve the same purpose. I’ll try to cover this on a separate post latter.

When you said “rank higher in search engine result (depending on keywords popularity & size of competing pages)”. Can you explain how does it work.

I have one technique that I love doing so much. Especially if I need to push my keywords marketing. Lets say I want to promote one page with a highly searched keywords. I will bookmark that page (using that keywords as his anchor text) on Digg and Propeller. Then I bookmark the page in Digg & Propeller to other bookmarking sites such as furl, spurl & reddit. Then I use ping service such as ping-o-matic to ping my RSS feed in all my bookmarking site.
Giving it 1-5 days my page will be listed in top 10 Google SERPs for that particular keywords. This will normally works for keywords which has less than 600 competing pages and 250K links with keywords anchoring text. You can check this by using allintitle:keywords and allinanchor:keywords in the Google search.
One important thing you need to know is that to get listed top is not that difficult anymore but keeping on top is much harder. So immediately builds your backlinks (especially more with high PR and content related pages) as many as possible to keep you ranked top.

Azlan your technique is just for a short term. It will be much better if you comment the post with higher PageRank in Digg and insert your link there.

I 100% love this. Social bookmarking has been providing quality traffic for me. People those looking for something, and they optin and buy. I think web 2.0 traffic is good only for adsense or pay per click programs.
i did use social poster and socialize-it pro for wordpress. they did a very good job. but it is useless since the bookmark come from a user or in other word, just you.
for now, i just focusing to stumbleupon and i use bribe method. ask you’re visitor to stumble any page and give them any free bonus afterward.
